Dear Class 3,
Welcome to a brand new week- albeit a little less sunny! We wonder whether you have managed to see any wildlife in your gardens and local environment? We have been watching: Starlings, Robins, Blue Tits and Sparrows (in particular one we have named Charlie that we think is nesting in our bird box). But what birds visit your garden regularly? We would love to know! Have you caught up with the Osprey webcam this year? Put it on your, 'To Do' list if you haven't because they are growing up so fast and before you know it, they will be gone. Look out for Alex's new Osprey blog too.
We are really enjoying watching Springwatch each evening and find it amazing that we have such stunning animals here in the UK if you look hard enough! Who knew about beautiful Sand Lizards in Wales that turn a vivid green and did you see the Super Mum stoat too? We learned that hedgehogs are having a hard time at the moment and numbers are declining so we left a little food out in our garden-fingers crossed we catch a glimpse! Alex has been busy with his brother Sam observing some stunning creatures too-check out what he found on the Home Learning tab.
We are really looking forward to spending Monday and Tuesday with the Year Six children again this week. Their positive attitudes and mature approach to the new routines in school made us immensely proud of them. Have a great week and do get in touch if you need anything at all or would like to share your fab learning. It is always a lovely surprise to open up an email and see what you have been up to.
Something to read!
Why don't you have a read of JK Rowling's new story?
She will post the chapters on-line for us to read but she is also asking children to get involved in an illustration competition. We have some super artists in Class 3, why don't you give it a go?
