Daily updates

Week One

Hello Class 1 😊

I have attached the ‘Weekly home learning overview’ which consists of a variety of fun activities based around Writing, Reading, Maths, Science and Topic as well as ideas to wake your brain and body up during the day. These activities will change on a weekly basis, but please do not worry if you aren’t able to complete them all, as long as you are having fun through learning, that’s the most important thing. Please use your home learning books to help record any of your work and include the date/ day of your learning to help you keep a track of your wonderful progress. Remember to have lots of fun whilst learning and try out our bonus challenges when you can!

An example of a daily timetable will be added shortly to help you structure your day if needed.

Have a great time learning.

Missing you all

Tuesday 24th March

Good morning everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. It's great that the sun is shining again today, so I hope you are making the most of it. Why not go out into the micro habitat that is your garden today and see if you can find the living things that dwell there.  BBC has a nice clip about habitats you could watch

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zf6mhyc

and there are some creative outdoor activites here

Have a lovely day

Wednesday 25th March

Once again the sun is out and it's going to be a glorious day!

Did you find any minibeasts in your garden yesterday?

If you fancy doing some writing today Jane Considine does a great lesson on YouTube at 9.45 each morning.  She will set a writing task using the FANTASTICS we use in school and she always has great ideas.

If you're feeling arty then there are some nice ideas on here.

Enjoy your day

Thursday 26th March

Morning everyone,

I'm going to do a spot of gardening today as the sun is still shining. Yesterday I made some bread which turned out surprisingly well! I wonder what you have got planned for today? What about going into the garden and creating some artwork in the style of Andy Goldsworthy...

I've noticed that some Year 2 are having a go at TTRockstars which is great. Don't forget you are aiming to be really confident with your 2, 5 and 10 times tables and related division facts by the time you go into Year 3!  Year 1 you could practise counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Why not do it while bouncing a ball? You could use this song to help...

Please contact the office email if you need any support with anything.

Have a fun day

Friday 27th March

Morning everyone,

I can't believe it's Friday already! Make sure you get your Golden Time this afternoon and perhaps do a Show and Tell this morning if you can find someone to listen! It's fairly busy in my house as Emily and Katie are home from Uni and we are all trying to be patient with each other and not argue. I expect it's the same in your house too! Louie the Beagle is enjoying us all being at home although he's not too happy about having to share the sofa and the t.v remote! I though I would put up a photo of him just to make you smile!

If you are looking for some Maths to do today this website has some games and activites which might be worth a try.
