Hi Class 1,
I bet you are all ready for a restful half term. I know you've all been so busy, and your parents too! I haven't done a plan for this week but there are lots of things to do if you feel the need to be busy. The National Academy has launched the Oak Activity Club which has some fun activities on. There is also a website called Off School which is full of ideas for home learning and fun activities.
Please take a look at the lovely poem that Evelyn wrote. I have saved it in the photo folder for you all to share. It's very impressive and I especially loved the rhyming she did.
On Friday I made a little video of our classroom so you can see what it looks like now. There are a few changes, like the tables being more spread out but on the whole it doesn't look much different. I know that some of you may be thinking about coming back to school soon, and I thought it would be reassuring for you to see that most things are still the same. I just need to solve a few technical problems to get it on the website, so keep your eyes out for it any time soon!
If you look in the stories folder you will see the story of Smelly Louie. I read this because on Friday, while out for a walk, my Louie decided to roll in something smelly and it reminded me about this story. I hope you enjoy it.
I am at Empingham on Tuesday so please fell free to call me for a chat, or you would like me to call you please email and let me know. I will also be going into Great Casterton this week so you could always leave me a message on the phone there are I will get back to you. I really enjoy it when I get to speak to you or your parents as it's always nice to know that you are happy, healthy and having fun.
Please keep sending me your super pictures and work to put on the website. We have quite a collection now.
Missing you all loads
Wednesday 27th May
What an exciting day!
Today I went to our school and I just wanted to share with you how lovely it was. Nearly all the members of staff were there, and everyone was so excited to be back together again. We couldn't stop talking and smiling. I'm sure you'll all be the same when you meet up with your friends again. It made us all feel so happy, and really excited for when you all return. Mrs Mann was there and she sorted through all the mail in the office and found two envelopes that had my name written on them. Oh my goodness, how surprised I was to find the most beautiful cards, one from Kia and one from Edith (along with a gorgeous handmade bracelet). They have pride of place in the classroom, and they made an already lovely day even better. Thank you Kia and Edith!
I got to have a nice chat with Gabe and Kaiden too and they are both so looking forward to seeing their friends.
Miss you all
