Well despite the windy start to the term we should soon start to see some signs of Spring. Our topic this term will make us all long for some sunshine as we are going to be learning all about Australia, and particularly comparing the city of Sidney with the city of London. As part of our Geography we will be learning where Australia is on a map and also learning the names of the 7 continents and the oceans. I'm really looking forward to starting the term with a fun Australian day where we will dress up and learn some basic facts about this amazing country. We are also going to be continuing to study the weather as part of our Science, and noting some of the changes as Winter turns to Spring. We will be learning about some interesting Australian animals and their habitats as well as some of their interesting lift cycles. Please look at the parent overview where you can see in more detail some of the things we are learning this term, and also share the Knowledge Organiser.  We often do little quizzes in the class to see how much of it we know and can remember.

Also in this term we have the delight that is World Book Day, and once again we will be enjoying a reading breakfast and dressing up, alongside other fun activities which will take place on the day. I do believe there is also going to be a Mother's Day lunch, which I know the children will be really excited about.
