What a lovely half term. After all the rain of last term, at last we got some well deserved sunshine, and long may it continue. Don't forget to bring sun lotion and hats into school, but also remember that a raincoat may still be necessary as we do try and get outside as much as possible, even if it is wet.
Our topic this term is called The Secret Garden and is all about what we might find outside in our gardens. So lots of science and finding out about plants and minibeasts. We are going to produce some creative writing based on settings and also write instructions and have a go at informative writing about mini beasts. Lots of outside learning, which is always fun.
Our Learning behaviour is Resourcefulness, and out Christian Value is Compassion, and we will be thinking about what these might look like in our learning and in our lives.
You can find the Knowledge Organiser and the overview for parents below. Please do look at the Knowledge Organiser with your child. This is some of the important information we will be learning and we will be incorporating a mini quiz into our week to support children in remembering the vocabulary and facts.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
