Welcome back to a brand new term of a brand new academic year! We are very excited to begin learning all about Ancient Greece in our History as well as Forces in Science. Do scroll down and find our Knowledge Organisers. These can be used at home to reinforce and consolidate our learning in school. You will also find the overviews for our very first Maths unit- focusing on Place Value.
The children have already made a great start and seem to be adapting to routines in Tim Peake Class quickly. Please do keep up the all important reading at home (with, to and together)- in fact, any reading at all is fab. The children should also be able to continue to log in to Times Table Rockstars in order to practice their multiplication Facts and build quick recall.
Homework will begin to be filtered out this week - beginning 6th September. There will be some Maths that will provide children with more practice of what they have learned in school as well as some spellings. Writing out spellings is very beneficial so do encourage your child to write them out as often as possible. They should also spend time thinking about the part of the word that is most tricky.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions or queries and we will do our best to help. Let's hope the sun continues to shine throughout our first full week in school!
Term 1 September 2021
A New Year with lots of opportunities for new learning and new challenges (and we know that you will all rise to the challenges).
Please find below copies of the knowledge organisers for Term 3. Have a look at the vocabulary that we will be learning. Do you know what any of it means? Do you already know anything about electricity that you can tell us?
Jump in, whole heartedly, and enjoy our Term 3 journey.
Something to read!
Why don't you have a read of JK Rowling's new story?
She will post the chapters on-line for us to read but she is also asking children to get involved in an illustration competition. We have some super artists in Class 3, why don't you give it a go?
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
